Areas of Practice
ARBORICULTURE
The broad field of arboriculture is supported by dedicated scientific researchers. They are constantly providing useful information to be utilized by all arborists. Treefoil is constantly exposed to the latest proven research. Our methods are constantly being updated thanks to these professional researchers
PROPERTY Issues
Property owners face a number of potential poverty concerns: border trees (shared trees), trespass and loss, abutting property/public property and R.O.W. (right of way) access and maintenance concerns, pesticide notifications, etc. Many times these are legal issues. We work with attorneys to provide objective opinions useful in conflict resolution.

PLANTING PLANS
Proper selection and planting of trees involves many many considerations. The list is essentially endless: soil conditions, water quality and availability, environmental conditions (weather, runoff and exposure to adjacent property impacts), regulations (municipal height/view restrictions), wildlife browse and inhabitation, tree diversity, overhead power lines, maintenance, nursery availability and selection

PRESERVATION AND PLANNING
Legacy, tree groupings, and specimen trees all have varied requirements for their survival. Often, legacy trees may be partially or predominantly hollow - or have a cavity. This may or may not be a structural issue. Further analysis can provide information regarding structural conditions helpful to favorable coexistence. This is just one instance of understanding preservation and planning for the future health and vigor.
PEST AND DISEASE
There are a number of insect problems (many non-native) that have the ability to damage and/or destroy trees. Some are cosmetic while others are a nuisance. Often other factors can weaken a tree in significantly where multiple factors in combination stress the tree into a state of decline.
The same can be said for diseases. Some can severely damage a tree, though usually at a slower rate. Often, treatments can be prescribed by Treefoil and applied by qualified arborists of the owners choice or recommended by us.

TREE FORENSICS
Why did a tree fail? What were the impacts? Was there damage or injury? Was there a pre-existing problem contributing to the failure? We are able to quantify and publish our findings in a professional report. Insurance companies and legal courts may require such a report.
